EASY Aging tips from my recent #troublesomehouses set build. Final set photos are on my artist page @ransom_mitchell / Top left pic by @cindy_schwarzstein of @cartwheel_art shows me aging a clean wood wall. STEPS: Wet the wall with a h2o spray bottle. Sloppily apply watered down acrylic paint at top of area. Spray again. Allow pleasing drips to occur. More water = more drips. Wipe up excess. Repeat. / 2nd aging tip I love is coating surfaces with tissue paper. Its like glazing. It knocks down contrast & adds crinkly “dead” texture. STEPS: Apply colored tissue on ANY surface with watery Elmer’s glue. I used tan tissue glued over torn book pages on raw wood. Smooth pleasing wrinkles by brushing on additional glue. The soft patina is gorgeous. #fakebelieve
